With 120+ clients among the biggest companies in the country and more than 500.000 users, Dialog is the largest HR Tech Startup in Brazil.

Their employee experience solution was already being used by some of the biggest companies in Brazil when I was brought on board.

My work started as a consultant to help the company organize their plan for a renovation, both with the app and their online presence.
I started by listening to the clients and researching.

To help create a roadmap for the next few years, I conducted interviews to understand what their expectations were for a 2.0 version of the app. Benchmarking was also important during this phase.

The discoveries and conclusions organized in my report were used as the foundation for the implementation of the UX department that I was invited to lead in the company.
Designing new experiences
Dialog had grown from a project built for a single client (Pepsico) to a SaaS startup without an UX team of its own.
The first new changes in the App UI helped revitalize the excitement. through all Dialog's employees and clients.
As Head of User Experience at Dialog, I was responsible for resolving a number of pressing issues, including:

- Build the team: I assisted the HR department by describing the profile of the professionals we would require as well as the selection of the right candidates.
- Rebuild the product with a new strategy to achieve the company's new goals.
- Create new features and plan their inclusion on the roadmap.
- Create the entire system's UI documentation and prototypes by developing a design system and high-fidelity prototypes.
Dialog is a very fast paced company. It was challenging to balance the roadmap I had created to make the new version of the product a reality with the day-to-day requests for solutions to keep the old version running (and selling). For that, my decision to build a small but very senior team of UX designers was the key to achieving all goals.
All Dialog's core functionalities were rebuild or reviewed.

The ones build (or rebuild) from scratch::

- Home, where I created a widget-based UI to group our clients favorite functions.
- Smart Email: a complete new solution to amplify the app's range of communication with the employees via email.
- The new Content Publisher which was completely recreated to have different experiences for the administrators of the system and the employees. This new feature opens the possibility of new ways of creating content on the platform.
- My HR: a new area to connect the HR department with the employee with information and a direct communication channel.
- The new Ideas area, where I created a system to build forms and quizzes and integrate it with the Timeline of the app.
- The new Dialog Drive to fix an issue with the way the app handles data that has existed for a while.
- A new Admin System experience.
- A completely new Dashboard, bringing much more intelligence to our clients understanding of their employees.

The Design System

During my nearly two years at Dialog, I was able to achieve all of my personal goals while also contributing to the company's continued success.
The new system's admin UI
Aside from the product itself (the Dialog suite includes desktop admin software, responsive web versions, and iOS and Android apps), the company had issues with their web presence and sales material. For the sales team, I created a new website, a new blog, and a new commercial presentation (see the case here).
