The thing that I love most about UX is the possibility to make peoples life easier. This is one of those projects.

Banco do Brasil - the largest bank in Brazil - had a problem that seemed so complicated that they didn't even know if it was possible to solve with just one system.

You know all that merchandising that you find in bank agencies? Like folders, posters, flyers, etc? Guess what: they have expiration dates. Imagine that a celebrity is hired to a campaign for a product of the bank and have agreed for the use of his/her image for 6 months. If that same celebrity enters an agency one year later and sees a poster with his or her face on it, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Now imagine that you have to make sure that every agency in your organization must take care of the process of removing from circulation old merchandising. All of the 5.060 agencies and 18.350 supporting points.

So, my friend and great information architect Renata Cabral started to study the process of distribution and management of the merchandising so we can improve and transform the task into a system that organizes every piece of advertising used in the agencies, from production to obsolescence.
260+ interfaces after, we won. The Merchandising Management System it's a reality and a success.

It even got a launching campaign in video, created for all the people at Banco do Brasil that we have helped with our work. In the video, we surprised some of the employees of Banco do Brasil showing the new system for the first time. Check it out:
