The challenging task of creating a unifying experience to citizens and the government employees responsible for the content of more than one thousand services.
I've been working on the Brazilian government account for more than 3 years now and, one of the most difficult tasks is to get everybody on the same page. This makes very little room for mistakes. Everything must be obviously the best solution for the project or it never leaves the ground.
For the new version of the Services Portal of Brazil we completely review the architecture of the whole system, mapping thousands of services and reorganising the way everything comes together. More than just revamping the UI, we need to create a new way of working for the employees of all the ministries and organs responsible for the content.
Personas and user journeys and usability tests were a crucial part of the process.
I created a "Best usability practices" guide to help all the editors involved with the creation and maintenance of the project.
After a lot of work, we finally brought a new solution to life. One that can grow and keep everything a quick search away for all Brazilians.
