Created to help the folks at Funpresp to increase the channels of communication with clients and prospects, Vic is a complex virtual assistant with four databanks connected.

I was starting as Creative and Innovation Manager at In Press Oficina when I was asked if we could build what was called at the time "a simple chatbot with around 40 questions to answer". I said: "sure, no problem". Boy was I wrong...

As the project evolved, the client got enthusiastic and I found myself with the task of creating a complex virtual assistant that had to identify what type of audience was talking to before start answering questions using the right databank.

My solution was to use a combination of guided conversation, created with Zenvia's Flow and Artificial Intelligence using IBM Watson Assistant.
I was also responsible for the development of the character design with the help of my friend, Daniel Bife, who is an amazing illustrator and which I had the luck of having available at my creative team.

From the initial 40 questions we ended up with a total of 1,200+ different lines of conersation divided in 4 databanks.

Vic was challenging but also a lot of fun to make it work. You can chat with her in Brazilian Portuguese at Funpresp's website.
